The Zombie Walk celebrates 16 ‘unlucky’ years of welcoming Zombies back to Historic Downtown Issaquah: Saturday, October 25, 1:30-5:30pm. Awaken your inner Zombie and plan to delight diners, drivers and spectators on Front Street. Gather at the Historic Shell Station at 1:30pm for makeup, 3pm practice dance routines and 4:30pm crawl to city hall for a Zombie Dance at 5 pm.
Come in your Zombie makeup, outfit and crawl and moan throughout downtown Issaquah with your own Zombie mob, meet up with friends, join in, or just watch. Keep an eye out for flash mobs dancing on the City Hall steps. The event is free, open to all ages and zombies of all skill levels.
Events at the Historic Shell Station (232 Front Street N) include:
• 1:30-4:30pm Zombie Makeover Stations sponsored by Wicked Beauty Bar $15 early bird advance sign up 1:30 – 3pm; $20 3pm – 4:30pm and Day of. Makeovers at Wicked Beauty Bar 68 E. Sunset Way – enter from Sunset Way and Exit using the back door to make your way to the Historic Shell Station at 232 Front Street N. Pre-registration is highly recommended. Day of registrations will have a separate line and are subject to availability. No refunds are available. ** Allergy Info: Latex is used; parent or guardian permission is needed.
• Thriller Flash Mob Dancers – be on the lookout for Flash Mobs up and down Front Street which will spontaneously dance the Thriller and Time Warp dances.
• Contests with prizes for best Zombie Human and Zombie Dog photos
• 3-4:30PM Dance Practice at the Historic Shell Station
• 4:30-5:00PM Crawl to City Hall steps. Zombies slowly crawl and moan while taking over downtown Issaquah attracting the attention of motorists, diners, and spectators on Front Street.
• 5:00-5:30PM Zombie Dance on the City Hall Steps to Thriller, Time Warp, and other songs.
Downtown businesses will have a special themed menu including Stan’s Bar-B-Q $1 eyeballs (meatballs), Chicago Pastrami bloody fingers (cheese sticks), Bloody Great Mary’s, and more…
The event is free, open to all ages and zombies of all skill levels.
