Trail Work and Tree Planting

You're invited to celebrate Arbor Day by building a trail and planting trees!

Work will take place on both City and state park land, and the new trail will allow hikers and joggers to bypass the noisy sidewalk and intersections along Northwest Sammamish Road and instead enter Lake Sammamish State Park by following Issaquah Creek through an older forest restoration project site.

Located behind the VCA Alpine Animal Hospital, the new wood chip trail will be about 1,000 feet long, and will be vital to connect the City's Pickering Reach Trail along Issaquah Creek to trails within the beautiful 500 acres of Lake Sammamish State Park.
