Issaquah Talks - Environment and Spirituality

Image may contain: text

Missiongathering Issaquah, in partnership with the Highlands Council, invite you to join them and talk about the intersection of the environment and spirituality, as well as practical steps you can take to build a more environmentally sustainable community.

This event will feature a speaker discussing why we should care about the environment at a communal and individual level, and how our spirituality can inform our decisions.

The speaker will be followed by multiple interactive workshops that you can participate in which will teach you how to:
- Move toward a zero-waste lifestyle
- Conserve water and energy
- Utilize solar power in your own home
- Buy food and products that create a sustainable world
- Grow ...your own plants in your home or apartment
- And more!

There will be supervised activities for children of all ages to participate in, which will include potting their own plants, learning about local wildlife, and creating their own conservation posters!

We are all responsible for the way we treat the earth and the environment, which affects not only us as individuals, but our community as a whole. What can you do to ensure a safe and healthy future for your family and generations to come?
