Issaquah Culture Fest

The annual Issaquah Culture Fest event, part of the national Welcome Week, is on September 6, 2024. We are honored to elevate community-rooted ideas and programs. Join us as we celebration our rich cultures from around the world.

This event is hosted by the City of Issaquah in sponsorship with Downtown Issaquah Association, Friends of the Issaquah Library, the Issaquah Highlands Council, and the King County Library System Issaquah Library.

Culture Fest - Issaquah Welcomes You 

September 6, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Community Center

Come together for a free, family-friendly event to celebrate the cultural diversity of our community in Issaquah. Festivities include music, world dances, interactive art, Henna art, resource booths, food trucks, and more! The event will be at the Issaquah Community Center on the outside lawn. Invite your neighbors, family, and friends to join us in celebration at the Issaquah Culture Fest!

Live performances on stage by local and talented artists, including:

• Seattle Shaolin Kungfu Academy - a vibrant dragon dance and authentic traditional Shaolin Kung Fu
• Ojasvi Art - a colorful interactive Indian dance Bali performance
• Mariachi Real de Seattle - a lively band playing traditional Mexican folk music
• Baile Folklore Colibri - youth Mexican dance group
• Xianghe-He Dance - poetic Chinese dance theater
• Gasango - traditional and contemporary dance and music from West Africa
• Enders Entertainment joins us again this year as our DJ 
• And more!

• Mobile Mayan serving authentic Mexican food
• Momo’s Kebab serving Mediterranean food
• Issaquah Ice Cream Trike serving a variety of refreshing ice cream and popsicles
• Brazilian Bakery Food Cart serving sweet and savory baked goods

• Music petting zoo for children to try a variety of musical instruments from various cultures
• Live animals from the Cougar Mountain Zoo
• Take home your own masterpiece with Madhubani art, a bright geometric style that originated in India and Nepal
